Kumiko Designs

Shoji Screens Australia is very happy to provide clients with suggestions of design, choice of timber or colour and advice on how to maximize the impact and benefit that shoji can provide to your home or business.

Our designs are based on, but not limited to, traditional Japanese style kumiko (wood lattice patterns). We have a range of kumiko patterns from which clients can choose – from the simple to the more intricate and elaborate. For a more personalized style we are happy for clients to suggest or design their own patterns. Some shoji designs can include wood panel inserts at the bottom each screen. These are usually the same wood as the framework.
